Spring / Easter Series #1 | Make an Easter Wiper Card Using Cricut Print Then Cut & My Scrap Chick!

Hello Clever Crafty Friends! Well, spring is in the air and to celebrate I'm kicking off a brand new Spring/Easter Series for 2020. I'll be making spring and Easter cards and home decor items now through Easter. I hope you'll join me as I have fun dreaming about spring!

Today is the first project and it's a tutorial on how to make an interactive wiper card. This is super cute and totally interactive. It looks a lot more complicated than it is.

Here it is in action:

I have a full video full of all the detailed instructions. You can view it HERE or by clicking on the thumbnail below.

I promised to give all the measurements on my blog so you didn't have to write everything down so fast. Here they are:

Card Base Back: 8 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Score at 1 1/2" and 3"

Card Base Front: 8 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Score at 1 1/2" and 3"

Fold on the score lines of both pieces starting from the 1st fold line on the left side: Valley then Mountain. See 1st picture above and 3rd picture below to see the folds and placement.

Decorative Paper Panels:
Back Card Panels: 5 1/4" x 4" and 1 1/4" x 4" (2)
Front Card Panels: 5 1/4" x 2 1/4"; 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" (2)

The wiper assembly piece is 2 7/8" x 1 7/8". Fold any corner 3/4" by using a pencil to put ticks on the 3/4" measurement on both sides of the corner. Score and fold so the corner easily bends in either direction.

Assemble card by applying the wiper piece to the back of the front panel close to the fold line without going over it. The edge of the wiper should not extend past the top of the front panel.

Glue the left and right ends of the card panels together. Apply glue only on the first folded panels on the front left and back right. This allows the card to expand freely when opened.

Embellish it with decorative paper and other elements of your choice. I used some cloud and flower decorative paper for the panels and Print Then Cut Easter Chicks and .svg cut clouds from My Scrap Chick.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Stop by again soon and thanks for spending a few minutes with me.
