Halloween Fun!

Hi everyone! If you celebrate Halloween, now is the time to start planning for the cards you want to give. Today's card shows how quick and easy it is to put together a Halloween card that mixes a little scary with a little whimsical. I personally love using Eyelet Outlet's embellishments like the Small Eye brad on the paper bow on this card. It makes it perfectly clear that the design doesn't take itself very seriously.

I used two skinny glitter washi tapes on either side of the Halloween Washi Tape. I embossed a piece of gold cardstock with a web embossing folder and used a little gilding wax to add some shine. The Mini Spider brads go perfectly on the embossed webs and they blend in nicely with the web and spider sticker. A Ghost Brad and Green Pearl Bling are the finishing touches.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I invite you to visit the store and stock up on your own Halloween stash. Don't forget that all these embellishments work fantastic on treat bags, tags and other Halloween crafts.

Happy Creating Everyone!

You Rule Party Animal!

Hi everyone! It's Janet here with another entry for the Lions, Tigers and Bears challenge on the Art Impressions Blog. This time I chose to use the Baby Critters stamp set. It has many cute little animals but I focused on the lion for the challenge. Here it is in action.

I used Copic markers to color the lion, the party wagon, balloons and bird. I also used the Rectangle Double Stitched Die set.  I love making interactive cards so I decided to make this one with a sliding and a pop up element. The die set I used for the mechanism is Launch Party from My Favorite Things. I enjoyed making it though it took a couple tries to get it right.

This set is a lot of fun to work with as there are many elements you can choose from. The bird is so sweet and the balloons and gifts are fun to jazz up with your own patterns if you so choose. There are several other really cute baby critters to work with including a giraffe, elephant and hippo.

I made this card with a front grassy panel that hides the mechanism which moves the bird across the scene and pops up the Party Animal sentiment.  It made this paper engineer pretty happy!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed seeing this little scene and how it moves. Have a great weekend!

Happy Creating!

Let's Make Some Panda-Monium!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today I'm playing along with the Ai Lions, Tigers & Bears challenge by making this panda bear inspired card. It's not quite an envelope card and it's not quite a typical card. It's an insert card with a fun decorated pocket.

3D Stacked Golden Teacups!

Stencils are taking the stamping world by storm but I am drawn back to the idea that we have another option for beautiful patterns and colors. Background stamps! My project today is about dressing up white cardstock to add color and texture to simple shapes and designs. Background stamps seem kind of old school right now but they are a wonderful option that are easier to pull off and are usually less mess too.

What's the Scoop?

What's your favorite summer treat? For me, it's an ice cream cone. This one is decorated with several items from Eyelet Outlet.

Back to the Office!

This fall, many of us are heading back to work sites. Art Impressions has several office themed sets and one that I get a kick out of is called Office Party. You can see from the photo of the set below that there's lots of fun images and sentiments that are perfect for the smart alecks of the office.

Cloudy With a Chance Of...Cheery Umbrellas!

Today I have a card using a variety of techniques and Art Impressions and Eyelet Outlet products to create this fun Windows to the World Scene. I am playing along with the current AI challenge on the blog. The challenge is to make anything with clouds on it.

Daisy Cascade Card - Cameo 4 and CutCardstock

Have you ever experienced someone being super impressed at something you made but secretly you knew it wasn't all that hard? Today's card is that kind of project.

How about a pretty cascade card with beautiful creamy white cardstock and all the trimmings? It screams elaborate but the beauty is that this card isn't hard thanks to a cutting pattern from Dreaming Tree called Daisy Cascade Card. Yes, this is an .svg cutting file that makes this card quick to make.

Sailboat Dreams

Good Morning! Today I have a card made with a quartet of good things from the Eyelet Outlet store. I cut a large stitched tag using a die in my stash and the decorated it up with the new Boat and Lighthouse brad set. I stacked a white and yellow paper flower together and used a Ship Wheel brad for the center. I use pearl bling to create some motion on this. It really reminds me of currents. It's surprising sometimes what bling can do and there's so much to choose from at the store!
