Sending Smiles

Hi everyone! It's Janet here with a bright and colorful card. This one has a background of washi tape in many styles and colors. Check out the shopping list for your favorite patterns. I decided to heat emboss a white diamond pattern over the entire panel and to my delight, it worked very well. I will say the panel initially warped from the heat but I applied an adhesive sheet behind the panel and attached to another piece of cardstock. This controlled the warping perfectly.

On top of this card, I added a fun die cut and strip sentiment. I couldn't help but add a unicorn and rainbow from the Unicorn & Rainbow Brads.

Thanks much for stopping by. Please stop by the Eyelet Outlet Store and check out the amazing inventory of washi tapes.

Some Bunny Loves You

Good morning everyone! I'm here today to show off my first spring/Easter card of 2022! Valentine's Day marks the beginning of the spring season and I am totally ready for it. How about you?

This card features a cute little spring bunny image. What makes this card special are the fun brads and washi tapes from the store. It's so easy and fast to create a scene using washi tapes. The egg and polka dot stripes are washi tapes. The grass the bunny is tucked into is also washi.  I've used a Chick brad, Butterfly Brads-Bright and the Sun and Cloud brad set in the scene. Finally I added a Pink Enamel Dot and two pink Heart Shaped Enamel Hearts to finish this scene.

The cute little bunny is from the Art Impressions set 4886K - Easter Blessings. Digital Paper is from CuteNCraftyMommy on Etsy. SALE ALERT! Get 30% off your order at CuteNCraftyMommy using code SUNCRAFTTALK30!

Live Love Woof!

It's Janet here with a friendship card celebrating man's best friend. This card was made with several fun products from the Eyelet Outlet Store

This is a gatefold card, meaning that a flap folds from the left side and the right so that they meet in the middle of the card front. I made a matching panel to put on top. Only the left side is glued to the left flap so that it opens with ease.

Once the card base was constructed, I placed a border of Dog Washi Tape across the top and the bottom of the flaps. Before I glued the center patterned cardstock on to the brown mat, I applied the Live and Woof stickers. I cut the O out of the Love sticker and used a Paw brad instead. I added the dog house from the Kennel Mix brad set and the tallest of the dogs from the Puppy brad set. The cool thing about this set is that it matches the dog washi tape so well! The final touch was Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Once completed, I glued the center panel on the brown mat. This way the back side with the brad's prongs are covered with cardstock. Then I glued the left side of the finished center panel to the left flap. This is a quick way to utilize stickers to make a quick but cute card. I picked up the sticker set at the Dollar Tree so it was inexpensive as well as perfect for this card.

Winter Beauty

So how's the weather been treating you? A lot of the country has had some rough weather lately and here in Charlotte we actually had snow! Woohoo! We don't get snow too often and we got some last Sunday and again Friday night. It doesn't last long here which is just how I like it. It's pretty when it comes and just as nice when it goes.

All the cold temps and the snow inspired my card today. There are many products that can be used for a winter theme. The background of the forest is made with Glitter Winter Washi Tape. I love the subtle pattern of trees in the tape. I used two rows of Sparkle White Glitter Tape to represent the snow. Two strips of Fancy Long Bling-Pearls & Jewels in clear adds a bit more sparkle. I used a pair of Moose Brads in the scene. The Cardinal Brad is the perfect pop of color in this neutral scene.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I inspired you to do a little winter cardmaking. Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Weenie!

January is an important time at my house because it's my husband's birthday month. It's a tradition that his birthday card has a doxie dog on it. It began decades ago when our fur baby was a doxie. Our beloved Tigger has been gone a long time but he is always remember during Steve's birthday. Funny how traditions begin but that's the story behind ours.

I saw this ephemera piece in a paper pad I have in my stash and of course my head danced with all kinds of way to make this really special using Eyelet Outlet brads, washi tapes and bling. I love it and I think my husband will too! It's so easy to take something good and make it great with EO embellishments.

Christmas Gnome Cutie!

Hello! It's my turn at the Eyelet Outlet blog. Today I have a cut little gnome for Christmas. He's making Gift Brads deliveries today since we all know it's going to be impossible to order gifts after October this year! Ha ha!

This card features the Glitter Winter Washi Tape as the background. A Holly Brad decorates the sentiment. A cute little green Heart Pastel Shaped Enamel Dot decorates his hat. The gnome and his cart is printable art I purchased from Pink Gem Designs. I fussy cut him before applying with foam tape.

In case you didn't notice, Eyelet Outlet issued four new brad sets this week. In addition to Gift Brads, we added Female Cardinal BradsCupcake Swirl Brads and Iced Coffee Brads. They are awesome additions to add to your stash and will help get your creativity going.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Let's Get Baked! Gingerbread Christmas Card

Hello everyone! I'm just not able to stop Christmas crafting so I guess I give up! I'm going to keep throwing in a Christmas card or two each month until the big day arrives!

I started this card by cutting the doily and phrases for this card with a file in Cricut Design Space. I cut the doily in a beige cardstock but decided to ink it up with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give it a more "baked" look. I sprayed the inked doily with Glitter Dust and white iridescent spray. As it dried, I covered a 6 x 6 card panel with black and gold foil washi tape. On the doily, I placed the words and inserted the brads from the Gingerbread Set and the Baking Set. Then I glued the doily to the washi panel. To finish the card, I placed several different sizes of Black Pearl Bling on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Remember, it's never too early for a good baking!

Halloween Fun!

Hi everyone! If you celebrate Halloween, now is the time to start planning for the cards you want to give. Today's card shows how quick and easy it is to put together a Halloween card that mixes a little scary with a little whimsical. I personally love using Eyelet Outlet's embellishments like the Small Eye brad on the paper bow on this card. It makes it perfectly clear that the design doesn't take itself very seriously.

I used two skinny glitter washi tapes on either side of the Halloween Washi Tape. I embossed a piece of gold cardstock with a web embossing folder and used a little gilding wax to add some shine. The Mini Spider brads go perfectly on the embossed webs and they blend in nicely with the web and spider sticker. A Ghost Brad and Green Pearl Bling are the finishing touches.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I invite you to visit the store and stock up on your own Halloween stash. Don't forget that all these embellishments work fantastic on treat bags, tags and other Halloween crafts.

Happy Creating Everyone!

What's the Scoop?

What's your favorite summer treat? For me, it's an ice cream cone. This one is decorated with several items from Eyelet Outlet.

Sandy Feet Are The Best Feet!

Hello crafty friends! Today I've got a fun sandy beach scene full of fun EO beachy brads. To make this card, I created a blended background out of distress oxide inks. The sand was created first by masking off the horizon line and then I blended the water and sky.

I used the new brown flip flop brads along with Sandcastle Brads and Beach Umbrella Brads. The Sun and Cloud Brad set always looks great in a sky scene.

SHOPPING LIST:

I matted the scene on a handmade water color background I had made some time ago. I keep handmade backgrounds on my work table until I find a use for them. I think this one looked great with the scene colors. I used a light brown kraft cardstock with lots of fiber in it for the A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a beachy day!

Christmas Penguin Greetings!

Hey everyone! It's July and you know what that means! We get to break out our Christmas supplies and chill out during a hot time of year. One great way to do that is to break out the holiday themed Eyelet Outlet products.

This card was very simple and quick to do. I made a Kraft A2 card base and splattered it with white acrylic paint mixed with water. After it dried, I strung a brown jute cord between two Screw brads. Then I placed three cute penguins on it. I added Holiday Lights to the cord to make it look like a light cord.

I cut the sentiment out with a die in green and white glitter cardstock. After placing them on the card, I added Snowflake bling and two Snowflake brads. I added two Snowflake Bling pieces in green to finish off this whimsical card.

Will you break out your holiday supplies this month? Go for it!

My "Coffee" Cup Runneth Over For You!

Today I have another Coffee Cup Gift Card holder for you. I'm loving this quick to make die and stamp set from Art Impression! I thought I could create a super cute version using brads and washi tape from Eyelet Outlet. They have lots of great coffee related products that made this card lots of fun to put together. I even used a speech bubble brad as the sentiment.

After making the coffee cup gift card holder, I decorated it with Swirl Bling and made a collage with Coffee, Hearts and Saying Speech Bubble brads from Eyelet Outlet. I love how the swirl bling looks like steam.

For the background, I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" panel in white and covered it with rows of Coffee Cup Washi Tape. This is a cups of many colors washi tape and I just love it! I glued the finished panel on top of a red A2 sized card base. I love how it turned out.

Happy Creating Everyone!

Where Ye Be Sailing Friend?

Good morning! Do you ever feel like you have no ideas to make cards?  Lately I've been looking over my paper collection and when I saw this on the corner of a 12 x 12 page, I thought it would be fantastic used on a card. It has the double bonus of speeding up the creative process since this great graphic can be the focal point and it's already made. Then it's a matter of decorating it to make it special and complete. I used brads to enhance this scene. While the brad proportions are not perfect, it's close enough. It was fun to add the Ship's Wheel, Seagull and Parrot brads to this image.

I love this fun pirate washi tape too. It was perfectly fun with this scene. It's fairly transparent so I had the idea to put it on top of the Map Washi. It's very subtle but in person the map images show through  just perfectly! I used Gold Glitter Washi as a mat too.

So take a look at your paper collection and see what you can use to make your card making easy and quick! You may be pleasantly surprised at what you find when you put a new eye to it.

Welcome Spring!!

Hello everyone! I hope the weather where you are is finally showing evidence of spring's arrival. Here in Charlotte, NC spring is definitely in bloom and the warm sun is a welcome change. Today's card celebrates the traditional signs of spring.

To make this I first used the largest rectangle in the Spellbinders Candlewick Rectangles set. I used my Big Shot to cut and emboss this piece. I love the embossing detail of Spellbinders dies. It really adds a lot to the background.

The poem is super ancient. I've had it somewhere between 10-15 years! The stickers are also very old and are from Creative Memories. Both items work so well in this card. It reminded me that it's fun to look at old supplies with fresh eyes.

I had a lot of fun using many brad sets that illustrate the poem. I also embellished with a strip of pink bling and a few stickers. This was super quick and fun to put together. In fact, the poem is absolutely ancient. It was a piece I've had in my stash for at least 10 years! The stickers are also old ones from Creative Memories. It's so fun when your old stuff can be made new with brads and bling from Eyelet Outlet!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week!
