CottageCutz YouTube Easter Hop

It's that time of year again for the annual CottageCutz YouTube hop on my channel. I believe this is the 3rd time I've joined a wonderful group of crafters who are all big fans of CottageCutz dies.

Be sure to hop on over to my channel to begin. You will find Easter inspiration and a chance to win some great prizes. Each channel will be giving away goodies and you have a chance to win by following some simple rules. Those rules are found on my video. Be sure to watch, comment and subscribe so you can maximize your chances of winning!

I want to share each of my projects with you and tell you a few more details.

First is this adorable little Easter card. The frame and flaps are cut from a Lawn Fawn die called Peekaboo Backdrop. It comes with doors for each of the four frames but I chose to add only two of them. If you want to see what's behind the two doors, you'll have to see the video. Hee, hee. I can be tricky like that! All the die cuts were cut using Neenah Classic Solar Crest and then colored with Copic markers.

The CottageCutz dies used in this card are as follows:
Chickies w/Egg Plant, Some Bunny Loves You and Lil Bunny Peeps

Two Lawn Fawn dies were used as well. The clouds are from a die called Puffy Cloud Borders. The grass is called Grassy Hillside Borders

I also used a few iridescent sequins, pink pearl gems, and brad sets called Colored Easter Eggs and Chicks.

Next is a home decor item. This is a beautiful three-dimensional paper egg. The decorative paper that forms the egg is from a DCWV stack called Birds & Butterflies. The other papers were scraps from my stash.

The egg pattern is from one of my always favorite MyScrapChick. This is called Sweet Sugar Egg. Everything you see comes in the cut file except the bird, greenery and branch. That's a CottageCutz die I added that I think really makes it look like a bird's nest. It's the perfect size for a Cadbury chocolate bunny inside. Unfortunately, I ate him so you'll have to take my word for it! The bird die is called Garden Bird.

Last is quite a labor of love. It's a mini Easter Album. This is the album closed and it's a very compact 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"! This is a cut file from Paige Evans called Mini Gift Album. I bought mine from the Silhouette Design Store. If you don't have a Silhouette machine, you can now get the files as .svg too for the same price. That file type will work on all the most common home cutting machines.

The decorative card stock used in this project is from a DCWV stack called Country Manor. I decorated this with foam flowers I purchases while browsing craft shops in Belgium and Slovenia this past summer. They hold very happy memories. Given the pandemic, it feels like that trip was years ago. So much has changed since then. The large eggs are cut from a die called Spring Flower Eggs.

The next photo is the album when the top flap is opened. This shows off two butterflies made with dies called Butterflies. These are tuck spots for photos.

Opening the bottom flap reveals a couple of bunnies. These are strictly for decoration. The dies are called Mr. Peter Rabbit and Miss Petunia Bunny. The eggs at the bottom are tuck spots and come from a die called Painting Bunny. There's more to both of these dies that you'll see next.

Now you'll see a tag slipped into a pocket on the left. The bunny is the main character in the Painting Bunny die. In the middle, there is an envelope for more photos and journaling cards. The medallion in the middle is only attached to the flap of the envelope. That die is called Garden Frames. The cart of eggs is from the Mr. Peter Rabbit die set.

Finally when the flaps on the right are opened, you see a very ornate hot air balloon die called Spring Hot Air Balloon. The little lamb tuck place is call Lamb. On this page I added a Chicken, a Chick and a Summer Tree brad from Eyelet Outlet also. I used the Puffy Cloud Borders from Lawn Fawn again here as well.

So getting back the Easter Hop, there are four more videos to go to. At each channel, you need to give a thumb's up, leave a comment and subscribe. Each creator is giving something away from them if you do this across all the videos. The hop closed at Midnight on April 11th and winners will be announced on April 15th.
