Along with the sloth brad, I used a piece of the Eyelet Outlet's Sloth Washi Tape which I matted on green cardstock. This is a great way to get a smooth washi tape result on a "bumpy" card like this with a die cut as the background. I also included three black pearls from the Black Pearls Multi Pack. I happen to be out of the Donut Brads at the moment but that would really be awesome on this card.
The background of this card is from Hero Arts and it's called the Leaves & Vines Fancy Die. I cut it out in white textured paper and used Distress Oxide inks in Peeled Paint, Cracked Pistachio, Forest Moss and Candied Apple to customize the greens with a hint of pink.
The coffee cup looks like it's stamped but actually it's a dies from CottageCutz called Coffee & Donuts. The sentiment comes from a stamp and die set from Art Impressions called Cat Mouthful Set. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and then with Versamark so I could heat emboss it with clear Hero Arts powder. This is one of my favorite embossing techniques because with clear embossing powder, you can turn any ink color in your collection into heat embossing. This is an easy thing to achieve by using a stamp press. My favorite one is the Misti. Clean up is very quick and easy between the Memento Ink and the Versamark thanks to the Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy. That thing is a modern miracle and so much better than the chemical cleaners!
Here's a little closer look at the sloth, tape and pearls.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today for a little slothy fun!
Hugs,
Janet
Some other must have products I wouldn't be caught on a desert island without are:
3) Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheets (These replace the magnets in my Misti. Game changer!)
7) JBL Portable Speaker (Because I don't do ANYTHING without my favorite tunes!)
